What Is Energy Star?

Since 1992, Energy Star has been the standard used by the government to certify the energy efficiency of products, homes, and buildings. Energy star can be found in 75 separate residential and commercial categories and is partnered with about 2,000 manufacturers and 1,850 retailers who sell 300 million certified products each year.
