Equipment Requirements:
Attic Insulation: Must bring insulation up to a minimum of R-30 from R-19 or less
Heat Pumps and Central AC: SEER 15 or higher
Geothermal Heat Pumps: EER 19 or higher
Windows: Must have low E glass, U-value/Solar Coefficient Heat Gain factor of .4/.4
Installation Requirements:
Work must be completed by a Progress Energy prequalified contractor

Summary:
Progress Energy is providing incentives for its residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of their homes. Rebates are provided for certain heating and cooling products, duct inspections and repairs, insulation improvements, and windows. To be eligible, the equipment must meet the efficiency requirements outlined on the program website. Customers also must use a contractor prequalified by Progress Energy to participate in the program. More details and a list of approved contractors are available on the website above.
