Title: Local Government Energy State Loan Program For Alabama

Program Details:

The Local Government Energy State Loan Program is for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy systems. The program has zero interest loans for the following renewable energies: CHP/Cogeneration, Day lighting, Passive Solar Space Heat, Wind, Biomass, Solar Water Heat, Photovoltaic, Small Hydroelectric, Other Distributed Generation Technologies. The sectors that qualify are schools and local government.  The eligible technologies include: Custom/Others pending approval, Lighting, Chillers, Heat pumps, Central Air conditioners, Furnaces , Boilers, Heat recovery, Building Insulation, Energy Mgmt. Systems/Building Controls, Caulking/Weather-stripping, Duct/Air sealing, Windows, Doors, Siding, Roofs, Motors, Motor VFDs, Water System and Sewage. You can receive up to $350,000 for local government and $500,000 per school for 0% interest load for 10 years. The program is offered by the PowerSouth, Alabama’s Local Government Energy Loan Program with funds from the State Revolving Loan Fund.
