Where to Find Wind Generator Plans

Here are some of our favorite places to look for good wind generator plans.
Some we think are the best available. There are some that are free out there, but generally you get what you pay for.

The first site is the best because these plans are from a pioneer of free generator plans. Hugh Piggott has not only designed the plans, he built them all over the world. He also teaches work shops all over the world as well. You can’t help but be impressed with the passion this man has for wind energy. He truly is and expect in designing wind generator plans. He has a wonderful informative site and you will enjoy reading all about his there.

The next sight has simple DIY plans, directions in their books. We’ve reviewed some and you can refer to them for deciding what will work best for you.
The plans are not along the line of Hugh Piggott’s but they will give you beginners who know nothing about wind generators a great deal of useful information. The plans that will work best for you will depend on your level of education. Only you can determine this best then decide on what seems to fit best.

Of course there are other available wind generator plans out there but we felt these were a good place to start. These work best for the lay person just starting out. We will be writing more about wind energy fairs and work shops for those of you who would like to become more confident before embarking on creating your own wind energy.
