October 14, 2009 — CPS Energy in San Antonio expects that it will be a colder winter this year and wants to hand out $50 and $100 rebates to customers who purchase energy-efficient gas clothes dryers, gas water heaters and gas cook tops. It stands to reason that switching from electric to gas in itself will save a household a lot of money, and the CPS incentive on top of that makes it a good time to go appliance shopping.
