The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) Renewable Energy Fund State Grant Program is a Local Government, Multi-Family Residential, Low-Income Residential, Agricultural, Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, Nonprofit, and Schools program for those who have energy efficient improvements made with the following: Solar Thermal Electric, Photovoltaic, Landfill Gas, Wind, Biomass, Hydroelectric, Geothermal Electric, Anaerobic Digestion, Tidal Energy, Wave Energy, Ocean Thermal, Fuel Cells using Renewable Fuels, Solar Water Heat, and Solar Space Heat. The program offers up to $750k. The following legislation set up this program: R.I. Gen. Laws § 39-2-1.2 and RIEDC Rules and Regulations for the Renewable Energy Development Fund.
