The Sales Tax Holiday for Energy-Efficient Appliances is a General Public/Consumer program for those who have energy efficient improvements made with the following: Refrigerators, Water Heaters, Furnaces, Central Air conditioners, Commercial Refrigeration Equipment, Trash Compactors, Conventional Ovens, Ranges, and Stoves, Clothes Washers, and Dishwasher. The program offers up to $1.5k/appliance for 100% sales tax exemption. All appliances must be energy star certified. The following legislation set up this program: R.S. Mo. § 144.526.
