Program Details:

The Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) Sustainable Natural Alternative Power (SNAP) Performance Based Incentive Program offers from .30 to $1.50 per kWh from supporting members in the following sectors: Schools, Commercial, Industrial, Non-profit, Agricultural, Institutional, GVEA customers and residential customers. The incentives are for the following renewable energy sources: Wave Energy, Photovoltaics, Landfill Gas, Wind, Biomass, Waste water treatment gas, Small Hydroelectric, Tidal Energy and Geothermal Electric with a max capacity of 25kW. The producer can sell 100% of the power or a portion of the power it produces. The producer will need to pay the connecting costs to the distribution system which may include the following: $100 inspection fee, $10 records fee, $3.65 monthly meter fee, and potential line extension fees.
