Build A Wind Generator Or Try Solar Instead?

To build a generator and expect it to supply all you energy needs doesn’t always work. What if you live in a part of the country where the wind isn’t dependable all year round? Or you are not connected to the grid and have no back up source in place? These are questions you need to ask yourself when embarking on making your own energy or deciding whether to build a wind generator.

We decided on a solar back up system and have found it to be very synergistic with our wind system. You can use all the same things you use for storage and use with both systems, they are compatible.

You can save $3 for every $1 you spend in energy conservation. Replacing high energy use appliances etc with lower use ones is essential to cut the cost of your system needs.

Someday everyone will be concerned about energy conservation. Places with rolling blackouts like CA have had a rude awakening to the realities of the energy problems facing the whole world at this time. Simply put the demands cannot be met with oil dependant energy sources in the near future.

China and India and their billions of people want the same things we are used to having. How can anyone blame them? A fridge or clothes washer and all electrical appliances etc we have grown accustom to are wonderful and have made our lives much easier than our parents or grandparents generation.

The days of cheap oil are over for all of us. We like having both systems and continue to add all kinds of energy saving or making gadgets all the time. We are building several types of solar ovens for different uses. We continue to be excited about all the new technologies coming out all the time.

Wouldn’t it be great to be energy independent as country someday?
