Program Details:
The South Alabama Electric Cooperative (SAEC) Residential Energy Efficiency Utility Rebate Program offers rebates to residents to conserve energy in their residence. You will receive $600 per ton for geothermal heat pumps, $300 for an efficient manufactured home, and $200 per ton for a dual fuel unit if you meet the touchstone energy home criteria. These are the areas where your home needs to meet a certain criteria: skirting or underpinning, floor insulation R-12, insulated or storm windows or doors, wall insulation R-11, attic insulation R-28 for conventional ceiling or R-21 for vaulted ceiling and properly sized heat pump. The rebate is for $200 for the home and $100 for the efficient water heater. The rebates must be applied for within 6 months of installation. For more information visit the following websites:
