The Cherokee Electric Cooperative Residential Energy Efficiency Utility Loan Program offers loans to residents for the purchase and installation of heat pumps and weatherization measures. There are low fixed rate loans for the following items: Building Insulation, Water Heaters, Heat pumps, Windows, Central Air conditioners, and Doors. The sector that qualifies is Residential. The maximum incentive for windows is $2,000. The loan doesn’t have to be repaid for 10 years. The program is offered by the Cherokee Electric Coop along with the TVA for heat pump purchases.
