Title: Energy Efficiency Interest Rate Reduction State Loan Program
Program Details:
The Alaska Energy Efficiency Interest Rate Reduction State Loan Program is financed by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) when you buy a new home with 5 Star or 5 Star Plus ratings or for energy improvements on whole building/comprehensive measure. Homes built after 4/1/07 must meet Alaska Building Energy Efficiency Standard (BEES) 2007. Loan rate reductions are from .125% to .75% up to the first $200,000 (above this amount has a blended interest rate). An application needs to be submitted to AHFC informing them of the borrower who’s going to participate in the program. The improvements need to be completed in one year.
